After a sell-out festival last year which saw 18,000 attendees, the multi-award-winning event is showcasing over 100 acts and offers fun for all ages. Starting at noon, the festival goes into the night and features 11 stages of local talent with performances from artists including:

  • Chiedu Oraka

  • Downtown Kayoto

  • Fever

  • The Hubbards

  • Ruby J

  • Plus so many more artists and DJs.

Freedom Festival 2023

Freedom Festival is Hull’s long-running arts festival that has flooded the city with entertaining and thought-provoking arts and culture for 16 years. The festival is known for bringing the best cultural offerings locally, nationally and even internationally. Hull’s Freedom Festival is named after the city’s huge association with the abolition of the slave trade and in recent years has become a huge part of the city’s LGBTQ+ community.

The festival is a huge part of Hull with over 100,000 people attending most years. This year is set to be no different with the festival taking place from the 30th of August to the 3rd of September.
