“It’s Hull Fair Weather”
is a phrase you’ll hear Hull folk say when the weather turns a bit dreary. BUT that also means one of Europe’s largest fairgrounds is coming to town!
The spectacular tradition of the fair will be greeted with thousands of eager thrill seekers and family goers who have saved for weeks to spend their pocket money during the week long spectacle. Having existed since 1278, the fair has continued to grow and grow, bringing new rides, games and vendors each year, its a place for everyone to experience and its 100% free to enter.

If a live experience is your thing then you are spoilt this October month!
At the Bonus Arena there are a great number of events happening. Within the first week you could go see the street dance troupe Diversity, who will be performing their spectacular routines as they will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary since winning the X factor on Friday 4th .
Then only days after the arena will be hosting the indie-rock band Two Door Cinema on Thursday 10th and then the singer James Arthur on following Friday. . Maybe you want your funny bone tickled with the comedian Rob Beckett on his 'Wallop' tour on Saturday 19th or perhaps see more live music with the Pop Idol singer Will Young on Monday 21st.
If that wasn't enough , performing an intimate gig at the University Union is the 80s legend singer Gary Numan. Who will be performing his classic hits among new releases on Monday 14th October.
Keep your eyes pealed for the 'Back to Ours' programme
We are expected to see a great number of events in October by the 'Back to Ours' Programme. Founded during the 2017 City of Culture year, They host a number of outstanding art and cultural experiences in familiar places in the City - which are open to anyone and everyone.
