Reasons to Enjoy a Long Term Stay in Hull this Summer
Whether you're working remotely, relocating temporarily or just fancy a change of scene, a long term stay in Hull this summer could be exactly what you need. From independent coffee shops and restaurants to unique culture spots, Hull has a little bit of everything. And if you choose to stay with us here at Hideout, you’ll have a great place to come back to.
Here’s why we think a long term stay in Hull is a brilliant idea (especially if you’re staying with us)…
Coffee Shops in Hull
The number of amazing coffee spots in has grown massively over the last few years. You’ll find some real gems scattered throughout the city.
All within a short distance of Hideout, you’ll find three great spots. Still., Hearth, and Caffeinated are perfect for coffee lovers, all offering some of the best (and strongest) flat whites in the city. You can also grab a sweet baked treat if you fancy too. Ideal if you’re taking a break from work or looking for a quick pick me up between meetings.
Places to Eat in Hull
Hull’s food scene is full of independents and laid-back eats. Staying a bit longer means you’ll have time to try them all.
We always recommend Thieving Harry’s down on the Marina for a chilled brunch, or a burger. If you fancy something a little special, Flour & Feast offers some of the best baked goods and pastries in in the area. For some top tapas, Ambiente on Humber Street serves up some great, authentic Spanish food.
For a relaxed night in, you can grab something from Trinity Market next door and enjoy it in your accommodation. (Yes, we have all the utensils.)
Things to Do in Hull
Hull has loads going on during the summer. A long term stay in Hull gives you the chance to explore it all at your own pace.
You’ll want to visit The Deep, wander along Humber Street, and check out the independent shops and galleries. Head to Princes Avenue for lively bars and evening drinks. Don’t forget to spend a day at the Museums Quarter, or venture further out to the market town of Beverley.
And if you're here in June, make sure to go to Hull Street Food Nights on the 20th!
Our Favourites
We’ve lived and worked here for a while, so it’s fair to say we know the city pretty well.
Here are some of our personal favourites:
Hearth (for the Sunday Lunch)
Flour & Feast (for the pastries)
Head of Steam (for after-work drinks)
Paragon Arcade (for that “hidden gem” shopping vibe)
Trinity Market (for the street food)
